Pay for Entertainment with Crypto — Movies, Sports, Streaming, and More
April 8, 2026 · By Crypto Research Team
Crypto spending has expanded well beyond online shops and travel bookings. You can now spend Bitcoin at NBA arenas, buy a live TV subscription with Ethereum, support your favorite Twitch streamer with USDC, or grab movie tickets with BTC — all without converting to fiat first. Here’s where to do it.
Movie Tickets
AMC Theatres is the biggest name in US movie exhibition and one of the earliest major brick-and-mortar brands to accept crypto. You can buy tickets and gift cards at AMC locations across the country using BTC or ETH via BitPay.
If you want more flexibility, gift card services like Bitrefill let you buy AMC and similar movie vouchers with a wider range of coins. But for a direct crypto checkout at a recognizable cinema chain, AMC is the option.
Sports Tickets
Two NBA franchises accept crypto directly for tickets and merchandise.
Dallas Mavericks accept BTC and DOGE via BitPay — and give you a 5% discount on merch purchases paid with crypto. Owner Mark Cuban was one of the earliest and loudest advocates for Bitcoin payments in sports, and the team has kept crypto acceptance running since then.
Sacramento Kings accept BTC, ETH, and LTC via BitPay for tickets and merchandise. The Kings were actually the first professional sports team in the US to accept Bitcoin, back in 2014 — they’ve maintained crypto payments ever since.

Event Tickets
BigTickets is a ticketing platform for concerts and local events that accepts BTC, ETH, BCH, and XRP directly at checkout. It covers a range of events across the US — useful if you’re looking for something beyond the major venue chains.
For secondary market tickets, StubHub doesn’t accept crypto natively, but you can buy StubHub gift cards with BTC or ETH via BitPay — which amounts to the same outcome for most purchases.
If you’re in the Bitcoin world specifically, BTC Prague sells tickets to Europe’s largest annual Bitcoin conference with Bitcoin payments. Not entertainment in the traditional sense, but worth a mention if you’re planning to attend.
Live TV and Streaming
Major streaming platforms like Netflix and Spotify still don’t accept crypto directly. But several live TV and IPTV services do.
SlingTV is a live TV streaming service covering sports, news, and entertainment channels — a genuine cable replacement. It accepts BTC, ETH, and LTC via BitPay for subscriptions.
Dish TV accepts the same coins via BitPay for satellite TV bills and new subscriptions. If you’re already a Dish customer, this is one of the more convenient places to actually spend crypto — you can pay an existing bill without converting.
Satline.tv is an IPTV service with a broad international channel lineup. It accepts BTC, ETH, LTC, TRX, and USDC via CoinGate — one of the wider coin selections in the streaming category.
1-Stream offers IPTV panel solutions with billing automation, also via CoinGate. It accepts BTC, ETH, LTC, TRX, and USDC.
Twitch lets you buy Bits — the platform’s in-stream tipping currency — with BTC, ETH, BCH, and USDC via BitPay. It’s not a subscription, but it’s a direct way to support streamers and creators with crypto.

Music and Gaming
Beatport is the dominant digital music store for DJs and electronic music producers. You can buy tracks and mixes directly with Bitcoin. If you produce or DJ, this is a practical one — it’s where most of that catalog lives.
Chess.com accepts BTC, ETH, and LTC via BitPay for memberships. With tens of millions of users, it’s one of the most mainstream platforms on this list — and a good reminder that “paying for entertainment with crypto” doesn’t have to mean niche.
Blocklete Games offers sports and gaming collectibles and merchandise, with BTC, ETH, and LTC accepted via BitPay.

When the Platform Doesn’t Accept Crypto
For streaming or entertainment platforms that don’t take crypto directly — Netflix, Spotify, YouTube Premium, and similar — gift cards are the practical workaround. Services like Bitrefill and CryptoRefills let you buy gift cards for most major platforms with BTC, ETH, SOL, USDC, USDT, and more.

Pay Anywhere with a Crypto Card
For any venue, cinema, or streaming service that doesn’t accept crypto directly, a crypto debit card handles the conversion at point of sale. The Nexo Card and Plutus Card are strong EU/UK options; the Coinbase Card covers US users. Browse all crypto debit and credit cards to compare by region and rewards.
