VARON is a crypto card issuer that operates entirely inside Telegram through the @varonpaybot bot. Users deposit USDT or USDC, receive a virtual debit card, and spend the balance at Visa or Mastercard merchants online and in stores through Apple Pay and Google Pay. There is no separate mobile app: onboarding, card issuance, deposits, transaction history, and support all run through the Telegram bot.
Card options
- Varon Daily — Visa virtual debit card with a Singapore BIN. $10 one-time card opening fee.
- Varon Max — Mastercard virtual debit card with a Hong Kong BIN, positioned for larger payments. $20 one-time card opening fee.
Both cards share the same fee schedule and funding options. Neither is a physical card; the product is virtual-only.
Fees
- Card opening: $10 for Varon Daily or $20 for Varon Max, charged once.
- Top-up service fee: 1.5% on each deposit.
- Cross-border fee: 1.5% on payments in a currency other than the card’s billing currency.
- Monthly fee: none.
- Annual fee: none.
- Minimum top-up: $20.
- Per-transaction fee: no separate purchase fee is listed in the published fee table.
VARON states that its fee page lists every charge it applies. Blockchain network fees for deposits are paid separately to the sending network.
Benefits
- Telegram-native — no extra app; sign-up, verification, card issuance, and transaction history happen inside @varonpaybot.
- Fast virtual issuance — the card is typically created in about a minute, and VARON says most users can spend within five minutes of starting sign-up.
- Apple Pay and Google Pay — both cards can be added to both wallets from the card screen in the bot.
- Stablecoin funding — deposit USDT or USDC from any wallet; funds usually arrive about a minute after network confirmation.
- Worldwide acceptance — VARON quotes coverage of 175 million+ Visa and 150 million+ Mastercard locations.
- Two-level referral programme — earn 30% of the fees generated by people you invite plus 10% from the people they invite, up to 40% in total, paid into the Varon wallet. Both sides earn after the referred user completes verification.
- Crypto withdrawals — withdrawal requests are reviewed and signed before funds move, with a stated maximum review time of 12 hours.
How It Works
- Open @varonpaybot in Telegram and create an account with an email address.
- Complete identity verification: a government-issued photo ID and a selfie, plus proof of address in some countries.
- Choose Varon Daily or Varon Max and pay the one-time opening fee.
- Deposit USDT (ERC20, BEP20, or TRC20) or USDC (ERC20 or BEP20).
- Add the virtual card to Apple Pay or Google Pay, or use the card number, expiry, and CVV for online checkout.
- Top up the card from the Varon balance before spending; the 1.5% top-up fee applies to each top-up.
Important Considerations
- Full KYC is required: despite sign-up starting with an email address, VARON asks for a government-issued photo ID and a selfie, and may request proof of address depending on the country. It is not an email-only or no-KYC card.
- USDC on Tron is not supported: only USDT is accepted on TRC20. Funds sent on an unsupported network or to the wrong address cannot be recovered, so the network must be confirmed before every deposit.
- Costs stack on foreign-currency spending: the 1.5% top-up fee applies to funding and the 1.5% cross-border fee applies to non-billing-currency purchases, so a foreign-currency top-up and spend can cost roughly 3% in total.
- No cashback or rewards: the value proposition is stablecoin spending convenience rather than earning on purchases.
- Virtual only: there is no physical card, and ATM access is not advertised.
- Withdrawals are not instant: each request is reviewed and signed, with a maximum stated turnaround of 12 hours.
- Custodial product: balances are held by VARON rather than in self-custody, and no deposit insurance or bank guarantee is described. Users should not leave more on the card than they plan to spend.
- Availability is not fully published: VARON markets the card as global but does not publish a restricted-country list, so eligibility is confirmed during verification and may vary by jurisdiction.
